I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph numerous creative people – painters, metalsmiths, sculptors, craftsmen, ceramicists – while hard at work in their studios and workshops. It’s quite an honour being able to spend time with people while they’re at work, and I try my best to be as unobtrusive as possible while I capture their processes and surroundings. Seeing an artist’s studio is a fascinating insight into the creative mind, which is why I’m so grabbed by studio and workshop photography.
Joshua Burrell and David Nash, metalsmith and furniture restorer respectively, are the subject of this particular post and slideshow. Check out their work (and mine)!
