A couple of months ago I heard from Gary and Kate Lucas from Patterns and Moulds Ltd, via Emma Moore from print and marketing services agency, Print Monkey. P&M Ltd are a mould-making, machining and production facility in the Midlands, and were to be taking part in the 2015 Advanced Engineering Show at the NEC in Birmingham. For their stand, Gary and Kate wanted some photography and video editing done for a showreel that would be on loop on a screen, in addition to the physical examples they have of just how versatile they are as a mouldmaking company.
The video was to be a mix of stills taken by me; stills and video provided by P&M; a time-lapse video I’d produced for Gary and Kate of the installation of their brand new Poseidon machine, and video and stills from a company called DCA of a train carriage for which P&M made the mould for Hitachi. It was a fairly big job, pulling in material from numerous sources including titles and video from a showreel that was made several years ago.
The video came out really well, and was a hit at the show, which was actually on at the NEC last week! Gary and Kate were delighted, as was I, and I’m hoping the show leads to a lot more work for P&M!
Here are some of the photos I got from the last shoot I did with P&M, including material by me that was part of the showreel – look out for the TV screen in a shot Kate took of their stand at the Advanced Engineering Show. If you want to have a look at the showreel here’s the link (check back for just the time-lapse soon!):
